That is a sweet bike. I was leaning hard towards the Templar X, but I'm beginning to really like this KPX250.

KPX is fuel-injected, so no messing with carburetor, if that helps sway the debate. Fit and finish on mine seems pretty good, and every nut and bolt I've checked has been (at least) as tight as I would dare to make it. Only had one sticker not stay put (on the swingarm). 'Course I have 15 miles on it and only time will tell.

Got to put a few miles on today. Some on tarmac some gravel, and some trail. I'm really impressed how competent this feels off the paved roads. Just as happy as can be cruising down gravel roads at 40, and smooth on the little bit of trails I found. Very pleased so far. Should have some had guards in the mail tomorrow. Nice weather, mid/upper 60s, but sad part is, we're looking at the threat of snow next week and low temps down in the low 20s... Montana... I guess we should be glad it didn't start snowing in August.

Found the end of the road, and got the rest of my first 100 miles today. Another oil change that looks like pearl paint, adjust chain which stretched a fair amount, but almost broke in now. Just wanting to check valve clearances before I feel comfortable getting more aggressive.

Nice shot! Glad you didn't go flying off the end of that sucker.

I'm in Wyoming (Big Piney, near Pinedale) and enjoying that same weather. The snow doesn't stick too much around here. I plan to bundle up this winter and ride!
