New Color on my Zong

I know I somewhat disapeared but I have been lurking without posting for months. Phil's death hit me kinda hard. I am pretty sure I was the last of us with face to face contact. Anyway, the reason I decided to post now is I painted my Zong. I have had this idea since Spud's poll to decide what color to go with. I used Krylon Fusion Camo paint. It was the only Krylon color that was close to what I wanted. Without further addo

My Khaki Zong.

I know I am going to have to add some stickers to break up the color. I know a guy here that has a vinyl business. I was thinking about having him make some China Riders.com stickers for my front fender. Is that allowed? If I do I will post to see if anyone else wants some.

One other new item is my Garmin GPSmap 60CSx. I bought it because I was tired of my spedo being off and my wife and I use it for Geocaching. Here is a shot of it with my Ram mount on the hadlebar.

That colour looks really good! Your baja Bug looks cool too. 8)

I'd wait for Frostbite to respond about the decals.

You did a nice paint job, Bama! Your bike definitely has a military camouflage flair.

We all miss Phil Hall. :( However, I am greatly consoled to know he went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ.

Go ahead, if they look good perhaps we can get the decal guy to make more.

This may sound strange, but have you considered some Chinese Army insignia? Maybe even paint it on with a template for maximum authenticity?

Personally, I wouldn't be riding around Alabama (or Idaho) with a "hammer and sickle" decal on my bike! 8O

You always think of those little details. I like that.

Yep, a simple well-placed star would look great, perhaps with a fake serial number.

While that skid plate looks really good, I bet it'll get beat up quickly. Have you considered flat black for that part?

Thank you, Cal.

That's more like it, Brother Bill! WaG, the stock "skid plate" is black polypropylene, with the color molded into it. Therefore, the mud, rocks, and sand will probably "restore" the "skid plate" to its original color in short order.
