exhaust video's

i think it would be a great idea to have a area for people to post videos of their exhaust upgrades. so that way if some one else starts looking into a new exhaust, there is a place where they find their bike/quad with the exhaust they want on it and hear the sounds it makes..

just must include the normal idle/revving part in the video and then actual riding around in the video's. exhaust have 2 sounds, idle and revving and then driving.

true but having a seperate video section for exhausts only would make it a lot easier for people to find videos showing what mufflers sound like on the off brand bikes.

ive spent weeks searching for videos and audio clips of random name brand mufflers on off brand quads only to find 2 or 3 videos of off brand mufflers on off brand quads. just thought it would make things easier to research mufflers and what they sound like on different quads and bikes

Just my .02c I don't think it's a bad idea. Everyone likes to hear a good sound note out of an exhaust. If it makes it easier to find I'm all for it. Sometimes I find the search function on this site a bit less than satisfactory. I don't think I'm alone due to the amount of repeat questions we receive. Not that I mind helping those out who ask the same questions we've covered since I end up with 5000 response in my key word searches.

It's not a bad idea, I'm just not sure how I'd satisfy the second component of recording while riding. I guess I could strap my camera somewhere and hit record before riding.

A helmet cam would be easier, but I don't have one yet.

just set the camera down and film a tree then ride around the camera.. does not have to actually show you riding.. if you look on youtube most of what you find are idle/ravving videos. while thats are better then nothing, exhaust notes change when you ride vs just idling or revving

all im trying to say is that a lot of car forums have these for cars, so that way when people start thinking about buying a exhaust system they have an idea of what to expect from certain exhaust brands.. its why when i was 16 i bought the $700 greddy sp2 exhaust for my car over the 300 dollar lesser known exhaust.

To be honest, I don't think such a forum would see much usage or traffic.
