We have had both Hawks and Bashan Storms and we all like the Bashan with the balanced engine and the front forks, plus it worked good out of the crate without working on or changing the carbs or anything. it's worth the extra $400. Just remember, Dirt Bike not much of a Road Bike.

If my bike comes in from Safer Wholesale Ill post here and probably start a build thread.
You could also go the South Dakota route. This has been working for many. Looks like DMV down their needs to smoke another joint LOL!

I wouldn't worry too much about the retailer. Like has been mentioned, they ALL can be sketchy with the exception of CSC......RPS and ASPCUSA, from what I've read.

Like we've all done for years, place the order and then go to your local church, light a candle and wait. I wouldn't worry too much until an abundance of time goes by without any response.

Your bike will most likely come with the more street version tires, not the full knobbies with the 21/18 rim combo.

No containers with the db08r 250 have come in the past year and a half. The DB08 is what you will most likely get, which is what I have, and love. I wanted the knobbies and 18/21 wheels, but liking the 17/19 combo alot. Just tire selection is a bit weak for knobbies.

I have a DB-03 (200 version)

Sounds like you might be getting a "Bashan WILL" from the looks of your receipt

How does this compare with the Storm 250? Does it have the same engine? I paid $1500 for it is that about right? The main thing is is it street legal? Does it have the DOT EPA label's Should I keep this?

Should be about the same in the long run... but the only real differences I can see from pics and specs from websites, is the gas tank size, lack of 'rear rack', different kick starter designs, and a slight different frame design on the 2... the Storm has a 12L gas tank, WILL only has an 8L gas tank... Storm comes with a Rear Rack, WILL does not... both have the same speedo/cluster design...
