Chinese motorsports magazine?

Hey guys,

How much interest would there be in a Chinese motorsports mag? One that covered, say, bikes and quads mainly, with some of the other stuff thrown in once in a while.

How much would you pay for a quality colour mag? How often would you want to read it? Six issues a year? Four? Three?

Talk to me!

The truth is that I'm getting fed right here. I appreciate being able to talk with other riders directly and share tech and photos. Not sure if I would pay for a Chinese motorsport-specific mag.

I'm not sure anyone really has much interested in paper mag's anymore. So much info on the web with e-zines,blogs and forums that unless you're a long standing publisher with a subscription base, I think it's a way to burn your money.

The net is killing printed matter. Maybe most magazines and newspapers have a generation or two and they will be gone. We still get the local paper but it's getting very thin. My only magazine is Cycle World and I'm not renewing it.
So I don't have much hope for a Chinese Bike mag.

I would certainly be interested in it. I often buy paper mags, though, mostly camera and photography related. I would possibly pay 5 bucks max for it maybe 6 times a year. It really depends on what the quality is like. If it's translated anything like these owner's manual, count me out.

X2. However, I am going to investigate the China Motor World magazine mentioned by Jersey.

Ok Jersey, not sure if that was a joke or not, but I fell for it. Couldn't understand a word, and I didn't see a single motorcycle reference.

Here's the link, Derryk.

However, I am having trouble getting registered to read the online magazine. :(

I had no idea that existed. That's pretty cool. I think I'd buy a magazine about Chinacycles They are addictive. Chinabikes that is, not magazines.

Come on, Jersey, please tell us the secret way to register! I tried to register again, but I was still unsuccessful. :( Do you need to pay a subscription fee to register? :?:

Yes I to was interested in a few issues and tried to view online. It does appear that a subscription to the magazine is available in the registration links. The price was $250.00 for a year and seems to geared towards Importers and Distributors right now. The online version that is available for viewing will suit me fine it has alot of news and info. Thank You chinariders.net for what I consider a nice little gift. The link you made available is much appriecated. There may be a secret way to register if that becomes available I would be sure to share.

Hey Guys, My Name is Doug Stabler, and I am the US writer for the mag. Here is a link that should take you into my articles, and then from there you can see more of the magazine. http://www.chinamotorworld.com/index...ewsList&cid=19

We have been having problems with our web master ... and at times it is down. Problem should be fixed soon. Also, the site is based in China, so give it a few moments to connect, and load.
