Memories and a DREAM

I managed to recover a few pictures from an old dead hard drive, and I managed to find a picture of the very first project bike I had owned.

Meet the "barn find" 1966 CA77 Dream. A legitimate survivor bike. It sat for nearly 30 years in the corner of a garage, so the motor required a tear down, but otherwise it cleaned up rather nice.

I didn't do much else to it besides replace the seat cover, chain, cables, and do lots of cleaning.

Of course I kick myself in the rear for selling it years ago. I would love to get my hands on another one.

Just thought I would share. I was excited to recover this.

I've got 2 Harley Hummers (similar bikes with Italian heritage) in the shed. One runs, but it hasn't been started for 3-4 years now. 2-smokers with 3 speeds. Not sure what to do with them.

Nowhere near as nice as your Dream.

MD, Turn around and bend over so I can give you a swift kick. I think we all made those mistakes in the past. Cool looking bike.

It as a really cool bike. Not as perfect as it looks, but overall solid. With a bit more work and a couple of key pieces, it would have been a legitimate survivor bike. I bought it for $300 and spent maybe another 500 bucks getting it back to running and riding condition.

Then, like an idiot, I got made an offer on it that I couldn't pass up on. Like most things you regret, at the time it was a win-win scenario. I got 6 times out of it what I had put into it, and I had my eye on another bike. I should have just restored it the rest of the way...

Here I am now looking at the few that are still for sale thinking I need to do it again lol.

I have been considering a different path though by trying to get my hands on a CT90 or CT110/200.

That is a lovely example of a Dream. I always figured that if I found one with no motor, I'd do a nice restoration, but stuff it with silly amounts of horsepower.

I always thought that bike had just the right amount of power for what it was. I think it would almost be scary as a hot rod lol.
