How to change in post views from ascending to descending?

I'd like to read the original in-post postings first rather than the latest reply first... i.e. 1, 2, 3, ... rather than ... 3,2,1 ...If that makes any sense.

Anyone know if there's a setting for this?

User control panel Settings & Options -> edit options
Thread Display Options -> thread display mode. It can be oldest first or newest first
