I'm sorry to hear that. But it sounds like a nice long BUILD THREAD with lots of pics and discussion. I can understand your frustration though.

Wow! I just read your thread. I've only been a member for a couple of months so I missed that one. Hope 2017 goes a lot better for you. I don't think I want any lemonade from that lemon lol.

Funny thing about these "lemons" when you squeeze em the juice comes out brown and smells like sh*t??? Ya you want no part of the lemons superiorpowersports sold me!

PS the hardest thing for me in this is that it took me 3 years to save for this bike going with out one or two meals every day and never going anywhere to save on gas so I could buy this pile. Going with out those meals and never getting out ended up not being so good for my heart. (the wings of life saved me in that but they couldnt save me from the "pile")

I've wondered the same thing. My KLR250 also has a 21/17 setup. The thought has crossed my mind to get a 17" front rim and create a supermoto.

Well, I think when I stated that a "true enduro" or dirt bike has a 21/18 setup, that's also harkening back to when I was much younger and that was the standard setup for a very long time, decades even.....but the super early Yamaha Enduro's came with 18/18 setups. First thing you did was toss on a 21"er!

There are so many tire choices now-a-days I guess it doesn't really matter much.

I don't know...I've seen the photo you posted of your poor dog in the 'Winter Gripes' thread.

It's not like I took my camera with me when I let her outside... I had it ready and sitting on the dresser in the entryway.

Well, I installed the new Unibear Chain this afternoon and took the Brozz out for a ride. With 102.2 miles on the clock and on her 3rd oil change. I couldn't resist, was on a long flat 2 lane black top cruising at 50 mph, I laid down on the tank and snapped the throttle open and just saw what she would do. Well we got to 70 mph with 71 coming and going. The tach said 8K but she totally ran out of breath, there was no more to be had. Which I think that is plenty fast enough of my son. I've decided I'm going to do the air box mod, and change the jetting and give it to him.

Much better without the aggressive knobbies on the twisty pavement, but still capable of trails and dirt roads.
I just don't ride where and how I used to.... The TT250 has the 21/18...but I'm glad it came with the less aggressive dual sport-type tires. It still does very well on the pavement.
Hey guys, I don't have any compaints about a 19" front, I rode thousands of miles off-road on the California desert with that front. On my AJS 350. When I moved to Michigan, it still worked, not as well, but ok. When I got to Massachusetts and New York, I didn't have that ole Ajay any more. But I still had my 250 Ajay. It was mounted on 17" rims, fore and aft, and they sucked. They weren't even that good on gravel roads. On soft terrain, any wheel spin and the rear was buried. Worked good on cement or asphalt though. I sold that bike on down the road and got a Yamaha DT-175. My DT-175 came with those zoot piggyback rear shocks, and 4.00X18 rear and a 2.75X21 front. That combination really worked in Northern NY State. And now, to teak your noses a little, my beloved Ariel Red Hunter 350 came with a 2.50X22 front, and a 3.50X20 rear. That worked well, too.
