I don't know why Hardly Abelson dropped the Buell bikes; I guess sales slowed down. However, a lot of people really liked the Buell motorcycles.

I liked them too. Belt drive? Still don't know why is not more used in Street bikes. But I guess the public didn't buy them enough.

I've owned belt drive and they are fine. The only thing bad is you really have no or very little way to change the drive ratio. Different tooth cogs just are not available unless you modify one to fit your machine, and then you have to find a belt of the right size to match.

I'm all for the return of the 70/80 UJM line of motorcycles, ranging 250~750cc, with up to date tech.
Simple but efficient and I really think a solution for commuting and on the road errands. And besides a massification of the use of motorcycles will increase population happiness levels, ha! |

Grips & guards.
Just wondering Huck, do you also have hand guards? If so, do they help to block the breeze? I've been considering adding them for that, but don't know if they help.

I can vouch for hand guards helping keep the cold air off your hands and that's one of the main reason I have them on my bikes -cold air and big bugs. rj

I got mine when I got the Oxford Touring heated grips. They make a great combination. I am very impressed with these two Oxford products. |
