yea, I need to go and do more of that. I went and saw a kawasaki KLX230 at a local shop, and they told me it would be fine for me. I'm 6 ft 2.

I have zero motorcycle experience. Ok ,maybe not ZERO, I did ride one once when I was kid on my cousins farm...I was maybe 10!

But, I have ridden a few Quads in the day.

At 6'2" the KPX would be perfect for you. It's tall bike. I compared the KPX and KLX. The KPX and KLX are pretty close in quality. I found the KPX had a better swingarm and seat. The seat on the KPX is way more comfortable.

You would recommend a KPX over an actual Kawaski? Interesting...

Yes. KPX is better priced for close to the same quality. Also the KLX is 223 cc VS 249 cc

Nice. Yeah the Kawa was almost 5K. A bit more than I was looking to spend.

Ha! Perfect. Thanks! Now to decide to have someone build it for me, or figure it out myself ( ok, with the help of my better half! )

Remember that Chumbawamba song? Coming to riding as an adult - or returning to it - can be a lot like that song. I don't mean the excessive drinking parts, I mean the parts about dumping the bike and needing to pick it right back up and get it going again. You're gonna dump it. So, just get ready for that. Assuming you've already done all the basics for licensing, and have thought about skills drills to improve your riding skills (hello, parking lots), I would offer - just be ready for when it goes down and things bend, or break, or aren't right.

I sold my SYM Wolf 150 to a friend of mine as their first motorcycle, after being a scooter rider (until that got stolen.) I wouldn't call it a complete POS, because it's not. But it clearly already had some battle scars when I got it. But it was mechanically sound when I handed it over. It's got some new dings and dents and long scratches, but still runs great - but it's still their first POS motorcycle and, as a 150cc bike, is an awesome one.

It's a matter of mounting the front wheel, handle bars and mirrors.

Yup, the Kayo T4 230 has nice specs, and getting more and more distributors in the USA. SOHC Zongshen 6 speed engine, standard enduro design. Kayo uses good component sources, and dealership support is good to have.

Once you've sat on them (or ridden them) you know that the BMS has a lower comfortable seat and controls are easily accessible, and the T4 is an enduro with a flat high seat (and frame geometry).

Your choice. Don't be afraid of a carburetor. Be afraid of an EFI system failure. Kidding... it is rare
