Coolster ATV-3125-XR8-U Suspension Upgrade?

As the title suggests, I have a Coolster ATV-3125-XR8-U that my 8 year old son rides and I'd like to replace the stock "shocks" with something that actually works. I've searched around and found links to dead ebay listings.

Does anyone know if any of the inexpensive shock sets old on ebay offer any improvement or if I actually have to spend serious money to get a genuine upgrade?

Thanks.

I haven't done mine on my Rhino yet but what I did end up doing in preparation of this was measure the stock shocks eye-to-eye, then I hit Amazon and started hunting and reading reviews. I found some viable options doing this.

If your shocks are anything like the Rhino's, a wore out pogo stick would be better than stock.

The stock shocks are 11.5ish" eye to eye with 10mm holes. I can't find anything on amazon that is reasonably priced and doesn't look like an equally crappy version of the stock springs.

I bet there's an old dual-shock dirt bike with a similar eye to eye length. Maybe good used Japanese shocks are the way to go.

I'm all ears on this one. An affordable alternative to the pogo sticks I have on my Rhino would be nice.

Yep. The Rhino shocks. If you're impressed by the 2x4-like stiffness, then total collapse without notice,....you'll be as equally impressed by the absolute lack of dampening.
