Also, I completely powder coated the frame, removed all the nonsense on the frame and swing arm the make the frame cleaner, my friend built a custom rear fender and a battery box for me, and also did body work to the gas tank to remove the holders and painted it gloss black. When i powder coated the swing arm, the original bearing came out destroyed. I bought the bearing from the link up top, cut the outer metal layer (because the bearings are slightly bigger than the originals, but they dont make the original size), and had them brought to a bike shop to be pressed in. Two bike shops did not want to touch it being it was chinese and I just and it powder coated, so they did not have faith they could keep it nice or it would work. I found a great place on long island they did it no problem and kept the swing arm clean. It does work. Also, the original seat re upholstered. Any questions, just ask.

Also had the front rim rebuilt after I glided into a tree. I used the tusk rim and my friend re-spoked it. I used the original spokes and they are not wide enough for the holes in the rim, but they work just fine and have had no issues. The tires I used I got from my friend for $60, but I believe they are $200 brand new for the set. They are Pirellis.

The hose you see coming out the side is from the crankcase.

I used a 290 mm shock to lower the bike 3 inches. To use this shock, you will need to get nylon spacers and sand them down to fit for the bike. The shock holes do not take up the whole space.

My motor had an oil leak from the head gasket, so I took it apart and put the gasket on from the link up top. That has seem to stop it.

For the LED rear strip, I cut the original wiring that was hooked up to the original rear light and used those wires to hook up to the strip. Also this way, I can disconnect it if need be.

My friend really hooked me up doing the gas tank (body work and paint) and frame work for me (battery box and rear fender, and circled off the back of the frame with a pipe he bent himself). Together, they were $700. Cant say what the retail price from a shop would be.

Getting it professionally powdered coated was $700.

I also blew my flasher relay while fiddling with the wires. As long as you dont touch them together you probably wont need a new relay haha but just in case you want an extra or two I posted the link below.

The chain I linked to should work fine. The chain that I original bought I am 95% sure that it was this, but I cant seem to find the order seeing I bought it over two years ago. Keep note that trying to do a wheelie with the original chain WILL snap your chain and crack the underside of your engine. Happened to my friend even though I told him I saw that on a review on youtube.

I hooked up the headlight and blinkers to only run the "running lights" while I turn on the headlight. Technically speaking, they should be running all the time, but I think its cool to be able to control it at all times. To do this, I used to original brown wire that was supposed to be the running light and welded two more female wire clips..? Whatever you call them. So now, both blinkers are hooked up as well as the headlight.

A few more things, the headlight assembly I got had a male part for the wiring, and the bike has a male part as well. Had to buy a little set and change the wiring to female for it to stick. I used the original brackets and cut the ears off to mount it to the forks. The total amount of upgrades (not including the full 200 for the tires) is $2583.11. Added with the price of the bike, its roughly $4000 give or take.

VERY NICE BUILD!! How does it ride with all the mods and extra weight you removed? Still handle like a Hawk, or is it much better behaved now?

The pics of the hawk as a scrambler/brat are above. I only included one before picture (it has the blue line flag on it). All other pictures are the completed bike.
