New Bashan Enforcer?

I saw this on the ASPCUSA website and thought I'd throw this out to the knowledgeable resources on this forum. I have not seen this before and did a search to see if I could find any information on it. I am aware of the Storm, Shark and Brozz. To me this looks similar to the Shark but with knobby tires. Seems like a good price at $1049.00 + shipping.

The shipping costs were listed in the ad. "Shipping cost range from $115.00 to $145.00 to a Truck Terminal or Business with Dock. Home Delivery Cost range from $185.00 to $225.00."

Looks like a Hawk to me, and it looks to have the same non counterbalanced engine as the Hawk as well. Well Ladies and Gents there is your 49 State legal Hawk!!

I just got off the phone with Don at APSC. The bike we are looking at here boys and girls is Bashan's clone of the Hawk. And Don told me the reason being was the registration issues that the Hawk has. He said that the Enforcer DOES have the counterbalanced 299cc engine. They are readily available and at the price seen in the ad on the link in the OP. They are shipping out of California right now as they have not been moved to any other warehouses as of now. He did a quote for me to a terminal near me and it was 138 bucks. He also told me there are some changes coming to his site. Starting sometime this weekend there will be a 90 days same as cash option on his site. The service will not cost you one dime more than the price listed in the ad. When you complete your order the bike will be reserved for you. So there will be no issue of the bikes being sold out once you have paid in full. He also told me they are in the process of setting up service centers where the bikes can be shipped to the service center assembled, tested, and delivered to the customer. I believe he said that they will carry a 6 month labor warranty and a 12 month parts warranty when this happens. Don is pretty straight forward guy, I like the way he will take the time to talk to you. I like the changes he is trying to put in place. So in a nutshell this here Bashan Enforcer is your stress free 49 State legal Hawk. Maybe even a shade cheaper than a Hawk.

As good as it sounds though. You have to consider the whole package. Here the Hawk is a proven machine with a following. And you really can't deny the support RPS has in place. I.E. you can easily find parts for a Hawk. I LOVE my Bashan Brozz (err, my SON's Brozz) But there is NO website that lists parts for it. Like www.therps.net does for the Hawk. So with all that said. Would I buy this Bashan Enforcer, yeah I probably would as alot of these parts are interchangeable. But if I didn't like to do my homework to find something that will fit. The HAWK would be my bike. Just my .02

21/18 inch tires
Front rear disc
DOT TAG !!

That is a game changer. Hawk meet your competition. (I own a hawk and love it btw)

RPS this is your wake-up call. GET THE NHTSA sticker. Capitalism hates a vacuum, the market wants a bike at this price point with a NHTSA tag, and this fills the need.

11.5hp.... that motor should last for ever..
thats half of a mildly tuned Jap 250..
my yamaha TTR250 puts out 24hp & it's
no power monster , people get over 50,000 miles
first life from the motor.
So with 11.5hp it should last a life time "if looked after"

Even if the 11.5 figger is rear wheel hp thats still only
15/16 at the crank shaft...
Motor should be bullet proof almost...

with 17 tq and only 11.5 hp if you just spin it faster you could expect more hp right? Is the limiting factor the stroke? Even 1000 more rpm should give better numbers, right?
