Congratulations on acquiring your new, blue RX3, Dan. If you have time, please do post photos of your bike after it arrives. Is the bike being delivered in the crate, or assembled?

Checked it several times as it took a while to get coolant over into the second radiator and back around to fill it up to the cap neck. rj
Thanks for the tip. Wilco.

I'm paying for assembly. They tell me I should be able to unstrap and ride it right off the pallet.

Will post pics after it arrives. Looks like I'll have to update my sig, line too.

Cheers,

Dan K.

Local RX3 Owners Threads?

Are there currently any forums/threads to help RX3 owners in specific US localities identify other local owners -- if they want to be identified? I belong to a forum for a different bike which has a "local" threads subsection. Not that it gets used a lot. But now that I am tooling around on my new fast orange RX3, I'd be interested if there are any other riders in the mid-Atlantic/Washington DC area who might be interested in meeting up/riding/exchanging help with maintenance etc.

I am not well versed in how these forums work.

I am unaware of any threads/forums to help RX3 owners in different localities to meet. However, I encourage both of you to start threads on that topic here, in the RX3 forum at China Riders.

If this cap (?) is open the break liquid must go out just like that? I have been checking, then noticed some liquid there out without open it previously, I tried to open it and it was wet, I open it just like in the photo. Didn't remove it completely.

I have concerns about this, if this is the break liquid, and it just go out if someone opens the cap, my breaks won't work, right? Such an important thing, and so easy to hack?

The rubber cap merely keeps the end of the bleeder screw from getting dirty. Removing the rubber cap will not allow brake fluid to escape. You must loosen the bleeder screw before brake fluid will escape. The bleeder screw is used to remove air from the brake line, as described in the following thread.

Somewhere on the internet there was a map of the world and you can go on it and make a map specifically for RX3 riders to "pin" their location any where in the world. FRAPPR was what it was called but I think it's extinct now.
There is this one but it costs per month depending on how many pins you want and options.

Google has this:
http://smallbusiness.chron.com/drop-...aps-54105.html
and
http://www.ehow.com/how_6521984_drop...ogle-maps.html

But I think these are only for making a personal map for yourself that others would have no way of entering their location on. We need one on the net that we can go on and "pin" our location to anywhere in the world.
Any "Geeks" on here who know how to do this and make it work? rj
I got one started in a new thread....go here...
