TT250 storage box

The TT250 comes with a plastic storage case that is large enough for the OEM tool kit and a bit of paperwork...not much else. With time on my hands I decided to make a larger box, not so large that it will get in the way of the swingarm or tire, just a bit more room for my junk.

Here's a comparison between the stock plastic and my aluminum boxes:

Mine is 7" long and 3.5" X 4"

This makes it look like the tire is going to hit, I'm pretty sure this is only a matter of the camera angle. If I do see a problem I can move the box on the bracket.

Nicely done, Peter.

Paint or powder coating?

jb, I just ran this over my buffing wheel. Soon I'll take the time to clean up some of the 'character' and make this look more presentable. The end product will be bare aluminum. I'm too cheap for anything else!

You can actually fit gloves in that glove compartment.

Nice to be able to weld Al.

Yes, TIG on the Aluminum. I have a spool gun for my MIG set but never got to the point where I could do a decent job on AL with MIG. Heck, I'm still just a hack when it comes to TIG because I don't weld often enough to make it pretty.

I figured the same thing would happen to me, so I decided against the spool gun. If I ever need something TIG welded, I head over to my buddy's shop.
