Volcano Tour

Ok...this is my first attempt at posting a video.
It's my 25th try and I'm still struggling with wind noise and audio. I'm pretty firm to believe I can tape the mic on the back of my head, wrapped in a pillow and I'd still get wind noise. I'll get there.....

I listed the video as "unlisted" so I guess as long as I post the link, you can see it? This is all a new trick to this old dog.

In the meantime, I'll steal about 10 minutes of your time you'll never get back.

Also, Ghan, thanks for all of your help! I've made it this far.....

EDIT! Removed the first video that was recorded on 960/60 and replaced with the video from this morning recorded on 1080/60. Hopefully this one will be better.

It's pretty amazing to me that I can watch it on our TV and it's crystal clear...and I can post it to my PC in the GoPro software...and it's crystal clear....and on You Tube it looks ok but here it sucks. WTH?

Great video--don't be so hard on yourself, as I thought it was great! You had a few things going for it that I liked over many other videos; first, you didn't put music on it, especially the 'hip' stuff that drowns everything out (especially annoying in car videos, such as Hemi Cuda videos, in which I WANT to hear the engine). Also, besides a few good motorcycle narrators, hearing some people speaking gets annoying in motorcycle videos, especially when they drag on conversations. This is especially anger-inducing in videos where the title will say something like "Motorcycle stolen and recovered." I click on videos like that, thinking there will be a video of a chase (there are a few...), but all I get is the guy, who is a regular at putting out motorcycle videos, talking about an incident. All the while, while he is speaking about the incident, all he is doing is riding around speaking about the incident. Teens and twentysomethings seem to love these so-called 'vloggers' but I don't get it. I want to actually see something interesting if the title implies it, rather than a mundane video of a guy riding and blabbing about an exciting event!

Your video is much more interesting than the usual schlock of videos out there...you are not babbling about anything, you don't have annoying music, and you showed us Volcano which is interesting in that I had never heard of your town until you joined Chinariders, and I grew up in So. Cal. Keep 'em coming!!

Thanks culcune. HAH! Music. That's a whole nuther thing to figure out!
I went out and shot another this morning and I'll see if I can replace the one above, once I figure out how to get it back over to You Tube.

Yesterday's was shot on 960/60, the setting that the Go Pro manual said would be the best for body mounted, action type of footage. This mornings I topped the camera out at 1080/60. The quality seemed much more "jerky" than the 960 but we'll see how it turns out if I can get it loaded over here.

...ok...old dog here. This means what? Does it do this automatically? Is it something I did? Does it not matter what reso I film in, it will get dumped down to 240?

Thanks Weld. I just wish it was as clear as it is on my TV and PC. My retired brother is working on this for me. He has the time.... ;-)
As soon as we get a fix, I'll update it.

I loved the video! What does your wife think about you riding her bike all of the time?

Considering I'm her built-in, free mechanic, not much. ;-)
