Just make sure it can be registered in your state.
I was thinking about it, but i like the looks of the original way batter. The front tire on the new version is way to small.

How can i find out if it can be registered in my state?

What is the recommended sprockets and carb for the Dong Fang bobbers?

And with that sprocket and carb combo, about how fast can one go?

MDStroup,
Get a VIN number from the vendor and take it to your DMV to check if can be registered in your state. Use to be a no for PA,NJ, and others. There is always the Vermont way. http://www.motorecyclenow.com/title-service.html

The carb on the latest DF250RTB is jetted just fine, no change necessary. The bike as delivered is geared way too low. No room to increase the size of the front sprocket so you need to get a smaller one for the rear. Stock is 45 tooth, I went with a 35 tooth from JT sprockets.
Max speed is about 55 MPH GPS. Biggest complaint about the bike is lack of power.
Long thread about the bike at
http://www.mychinamoto.com/forums/sh...er-Information
Start at the back. LOL

Thanks to culcune there is another place to get a DF250RTB. They also have a green one which I like..

Thanks for the info. That OD green one looks nice. Where did you see that one for sale? I didn't see a link for it in this thread.

Took my 1918 Indian to the Dragon for it's final ride before loading up and heading to Florida for the winter.
She is running just fine.

The other day Santa Clause was there and I was on my Ural. I asked why he was early and he said he was on vacation before the Xmas rush.

Santa rides a Honda?

Love the bike rack on your Ural. What is it like to ride a hack in the twisties?

My last ride on the Dragon before heading south for the winter.

Loaded up the bikes, etc and ready for the road.

Lookers are happier if you agree with them about the DF being a old restored bike so I say 1918 Indian when they ask. It always draws a crowd.
