GIO Buggy Model GT1102S
Looking at buying Gio 110 2 person dune buggy. My son won an auction for $400.00... Sounds too cheap. It is new direct from Gio Bikes in Vancouver, BC.
Anyone have an experience with this GT1102S. It is for two 16 year olds. Thanks Shannick |

Welcome!
I'd be surprised to see a 110cc motor haul two people around. The buggy weighs considerably more than a child's quad, and most of those are 110cc powered. It could be fun with one person, and performance improvements are possible. I wondered what one of those would be like with the Gio 125cc pit bike engine as a shifter cart. 8)

Looking for someone who has bought one
Thanks for the reply Weldangrind, but I would really like to hear from someone who has bought and used one. It is for two kids and I don't want it to be too fast anyways, so the 110 should be fine??

With a bit more weight in a buggy, and two teenagers in it, I don't think it would be smoking fast, but it should whip them around some. |

You can always upgrade the engine for alittle more power later.

Also-- If I'm not mistaken, The 110cc buggy comes with the 3spd + Reverse semi-automatic transmission, which makes a huge difference in terms of standing start ability.
I have installed a semi-auto engine in a "beast" sized ATV, that previously had an auto-- What a difference. It was more than enough to haul my 265lb arse around.... --Vince
