Adventure...or something like that

They say that adventure is taking inappropriate equipment to out-of-the-way places, so...here's mine.
It was a weekend morning. A sunny weekend morning. Early sunny weekend morning. At days like these i would get up, had something to eat (nothing so serious to call it breakfast), jump into my racing suit grab my gsxr keys and hit the twisties with the guys like we always do on sunny weekend mornings like this. But there was just one problem. Let's just say that last weekend ride ended sooner then i expected. And with a bigger bang.
I was thinking about going back to sleep...but day like this was a shame to waste. So what...take my bicycle and go downhill?

Nah, to lazy to push it uphill today. What else? i guess i'll just go for a coffee with the guys before they head out, then go back home. On my scooter. 50ccm. Chinese.
Step one: get a reason to go out - check.
Step two: stick to the plan - well...i'm already outside so i might cruise around the city once. it shouldn't take me more than 20 min. This is where it took me...after 45 minutes

then after 1h15m

soon after that i lost my track of time

but i was to far into exploring when i realized that it's not going to be this warm for long

After more than an hour on a snowy and icy road (one that is bad enough without snow) i finally got to the top (my starting point was almost at the sea level, and more than 110km away)

my starting point was almost at the sea level, and more than 110km away

After these shots it was time to start my descent

Ride down....well let's not call it a ride. i had more grip (and more often) with my ass than my tires. it felt like bob-sled...with someone punching you every now and then

looking back to the topconquered

for a moment i tough i was in the clear

but then a new kind of enemy was at the horizon, laying it's load on routes of unsuspecting travelers

getting back at the sea level...with a temperature difference more than 10°C and setting sun,not a bad companion, on a slow ride home

Thanks FastDoc.
I made my way to the floor on my way down couple of times. It was almost impossible to use any brakes, but no major damage had come to me or to my little chinese home-work commuter.
I didn't mention it...this is Biokovo mountain. It's an nature park, and my total route from home (Split) ,to top (Biokovo, sveti (saint) Jure summit) and back was 225km. I stopped for a refuel in Makarska, a small town on adriatic coast. I don't know total time for the ride, but it felt like forever with a vehicle that has a top speed of 55kmh...60 if you have a strong wind in the back

Nice

I eard about Croatia as a beautifull country in summer but seems to be nice destination in autumn/winter too

For ride with snow Heidenau made the Snowtex, a very efficient tire for winter. I mounted one on my "vespa-LML"

Croatia truly is beautiful. i'd say that most beautiful scenes can be seen in autumn. Maybe it's just me but nothing compares to colors of fall.
But if you like nature like me it's not that important what season it is
