Ride to Kona

We did a 200km ride yesterday to kona and back home. The weather was warm sunny and great views of the ocean and the mountains plus the captain cook bay and kona bay. The ride was all fun except just as we were getting ready to pull out of kona, Randi noticed my muffler was a little low. Lost a nut on the mounting bracket, pulled into lowes and got a new nut and away we went. We found though that at 2000 km on our vivas, that on both bikes the mufflers were cracking around the mounting bracket. So Randi has some welding to do. Another thing to keep an eye on for these bikes. We had a great ride except my bottom is a little sour got to get some better padding in the seat.

is that weld holding? I had the same thing happen. I thought if I welded it that the same thing would happen again. so I used some of the steel straping that was on the shipping crate and made a hoop bracket. ugly but affective. how the weather? I think it was snowing here when you wrote this :( . don't get a sun burn 8)

That sounds WONDERFUL! I live in the Rockies, so looking forward to sharing some mountain trips later on. When it's 80 degrees. And not snowing. LOL Thanks for sharing!

It's getting bearable in Yuma...many of the snowbirds have gotten the heck outta here and the temps have been in the high 80's.

However, snow wouldn't be so bad. (Yes, I grew up in it, and lived in higher elevation in 2002 to 2004--snow, cold winter winds, etc.) in northern Arizona before heading south to H**L, aka Yuma. I actually liked being cold, believe it or not, allfun and otheride!

No trade. I like it here!!! Hang in there you will all have 80 degree weather soon and we will all be out riding. It is pouring rain this morning but the sun still may show and then away I go.
