It's a FY125-3A (ViN starts w/ LE8). CG125 jammed in GS125 body which aka "假刀仔" in southern China.
Specs:

Older FY case opening are as Honda https://www.motorfans.com.cn/forum.p...authorid=75082 which PiTA to fit a generic CG150 jug into it.

What's the problem ? Adjust valve clearance & change the oil to spec is the 1st thing to do in these pushrod machine. Other normal tear & wear use common sense may solve it...

Welcome to here, and you get bonus points for posting photos and the bike had plenty of lighting!! I am a big fan of standard-style bikes, and I do like the idea of a minimalist approach with the 125cc engine (I am guessing you are on an 'L' plate, so 125cc for a reason, but I still appreciate small engine bikes).

Problem with the bike is it will only run with choke i have striped the carb and it was spotless apart from some crap in the idle jet which i cleaned out. It does have a cheap pod filter would that be the cause. I have been riding for over 20 years the reason for the 125 was it was free. i also have a 600 bandit but can't use it at the moment as i have a shoulder injury which i am waiting to get surgery on only done about 200 miles in a year so the wee bike will get me out riding again.

If it is starved for fuel and you have properly cleaned the carburetor, there is either an under sized jetting problem or there is a vacuum leak.
