What other bikes do we ride?

Besides the obvious "China bikes", what else are we all riding? I've had many bikes over the years. 2, 3, and 4 wheels. lol This is my current collection that's ready to go, not counting some in various states of dis-repair.

Polaris 500 Sportsman 4x4
HD 1200 Sportster Custom
Orion RXB-250L (the China bike)

I had them all out this morning to wash them, grabbed a picture and thought it might be fun to see what others are riding too.

Depends on what day of the week it is. Usually for errands close to the house, it's the Hawk. For the work commute, it's either the DR650, the V-Star, or the Ural. Hopefully by the end of March, I'll have the CB450 knocked back together and road ready. The CL450 is going to be a couple more years in the making.

I have a Yamaha TW200 in addition to the apollo 250. The Tdub is for me and the wife to ride 2up on dirt roads in the mountains. Just the perfect bike for us. Pretty much the same bike in 2020 as the original 1987. Ultra reliable and 30 years worth of parts to pick from. Lots of aftermarket stuff too.

My previous bikes included a Honda CBR600F4, Suzuki SV1000 naked, Yamaha Blaster and Yamaha Banshee.

I’m currently expecting delivery of a Venom X22R this week or next.

Here’s an old YouTube screen shot of my SV.

I have had several over the years, about 40,.. (since 1968) the first being a 1965 Suzuki 80cc K15 Hillbilly,...but right now, my only other non-china bike is this 1983 GL1100I,..followed by a picture of a Hillbilly, for old times sake. I took my motorcycle license road test on the Hillbilly.

The Vic, Q (orange bike), the Rhino and the blue RX3 are what's left from this pic. I thinned the herd quite a bit since this pic last year.

Ofcourse my wicked fast '01 Scrambler 400 that loves to carry the front end every chance it gets and chew up rear hub splines (atleast one every season). I've had it 7 years now and dumped a small fortune into the motor. But it still manages to surprise me with wheel stands even at a quarter throttle with the Aeon ported jug and decked head, UFO carb and bigger reed cage, and shaved flywheel. I bought a DG pipe for it but found it performs better with the stock pipe. And ofcourse I tuned the CVT clutch and put a Razor 800 belt on it. The plastics are faded and I have the stock rims on it, but it's kinda nice showing up at the mud drags with a "sleeper" (it's only lost once).

My latest acquisition is a '11 Honda Foreman 500ES 4x4 that has all the bells and whistles and with an artificial leg I'm really enjoying the electric thumb shift. It wont climb the hills the Scrambler will and doesn't have the "wow" factor the Scrambler has. But it's kinda nice to enjoy the scenery slowly on a big comfy Cadillac. And I like that it comes with a winch and has shift on the fly 4x4. And yes I've got bigger Mud Warrior tires on the way lol. They're 2" taller and 1" wider and should chew through the mud nicely. I've thought about putting a snorkel on it but haven't yet decided. I might just keep it fairly stock and not even put a performance exhaust on it, I kinda like it being quiet.

Polaris had the stupid idea of combining the front and rear brakes with one handle on the left side of the handlebars. And a rear brake pedal. This was not only ineffective on a machine that would do 74mph stock, it also would wear your left hand out. So I put a Honda Recon master cylinder on the right side, bypassed the brake splitter and extended the rear brake pedal 3". Now I've separate front and rear brakes that work really well.
