Quick Mikuni VM26 Carb Question

Does anyone have a good (labeled) picture of inside of the Mikuni carb (top view)?

Can anyone confirm that there is an air mixture screw in there (next to the pilot jet) that can be adjusted (i.e., turned counter-clockwise to open a little)?

Thanks.

Thanks Jerry! That helped a ton. Doing the valve adjustment and oil change today. I still have to go through the bike and loctite everything; haven't that yet. We might get to 48 degrees tomorrow here (but 100% chance of rain).

I don't think so. That's the tool to adjust the screw on the bottom of the carb. I asked if there was a screw inside. Are they the same screw? I wouldn't think so since the screw head in on the inside of the carb.

Hmmm...now I'm confused. Now that I look at it, the screw in that picture from Jerry looks like it's on the bottom, but on outside of the PZ carb. The screw I'm talking about is on the inside (facing the bowl). It's right next to the pilot jet. If that wasn't a mixture screw, then that's not good for me...

No screw on the inside the carb to fool with. Those are the pilot (slow jet) and main jets. Mixture screw is on the outside of the bowl. The tool NZ linked will work great for adjusting the mixture after the carb is installed on the bike.

I use this to tune my carb's air/fuel screw. Fits nicely.

That tool is used to adjust the idle fuel/air mixture screw, which is located in the U shaped notch in the float bowl cover, which is there to allow access to the idle mixture screw, which is actually in the carburetor body. It comes from the factory with a plug over it in order to satisfy the EPA demand that carburetors are tamper proof...ARH

Completely disregard this thread. I was wrong. Dumb mistake. However, here's the good news. I can now remove and install a carb in an Apollo in a matter of minutes now. And, I can easily install the choke assembly that connects to the manual lever located on the handlebar. And...I did change the main jet to a 115. So, I got more practice and I put a better jet in that what I previously did (120).

Does that fit the Mikuni carb? I tried it on the Keihin and no go (one just like that)

Yes, I have it on my mikuni. It has a little side to side play, but not enough to make it back out. It sure comes in handy!

I thought about getting some made but the amount needed was like 300 pieces, also wondered if the vibrations might make it come out.
In the end I didn't bother and offered the adj tool instead. Keihin PZ30 doesn't accept this part and I couldn't find a suitable etc.

I left it just how it is and bought the tool instead.
