We had a decent turnout of trick and treaters here yesterday. More than we had the last five years at Chez Fromage. Because we now live in an area of large lots and long driveways, the preferred shuttle mode of transporting costumed tykes is a garden tractor towing a yard cart.

How’s the beer disease in your area Cheese ? We have 12 or so in our area so many didn’t bother with Halloween this year (lots of old people in my neighbourhood ) .We had a terrible wind storm last night so I don’t imagine many went out anyway .I am still at camp so I was not there for first hand info .

My area is somewhat of a hotspot in Illannoy. Exact count I don't know but it's a heck of a lot more than 12.

Dine in has been shut down. Again. I don't recall if it is for two weeks or a month. Being a household of introverts, it results in a 'Meh' from us, but others are suing the governor over it.

Well, it's been a year in the sticks. I have learned more than I ever wanted to know about gophers, French drains, sump pumps, radiant heating systems, water softeners, apple trees, zero turn mowers, and two stage snow blowers.
Next year appears to have tree pruning, tree planting, outside lighting, kitchen cabinet relocation, and Lord knows what else on the agenda.

We've made a couple soirees to the old neighborhood to see friends and although we miss being able to walk to the good eating places, we absolutely do not miss the traffic.

OTOH, I've never had a black vehicle turned light brown by harvesting dust before. My sinuses have just about recovered from that. I think that's a fair trade off for the peace and quiet.

And today, mice. Or more acccuratly, a mouse.

Me:Guess I'll bait some traps.

Mrs.C:AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HHH.

There it is again. Don't let it in my sewing room. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

This went on for a while.

Me:It's just a litte mouse.

Mrs.C:I don't care!

This has nothing to do with Cheesy Manor other than we found a fantastic sledding hill on the prairie. A Christmas Vacation, Chevy Chase smoking the saucer type hill. Sad part is we didn't find out about it until today and I'm back to work tomorrow.
