The china was something both Mrs.C's and my Mom insisted we have when we got married, so we got something cheap at the Gambles store in Antioch, IL 50 years ago. I think I can count on one hand how many times we've used it. Usually, it's the kitchen Corning Ware or a paper plate.

Or paper towel and eating over the sink.

as a leftie, I found the 3 ring binders to be a bigger problem than the spiral bound. I always had to click them open and remove a blank page to write on it.

I can remember well all those things growing up. I’m a born in the mid 50’s person that was even taught civics, history, English and was fortunate to have wood shop, metal shop and auto shop, starting in 7th grade! Watching the moon landing was also something I remember well! Great Thread

It's usually just us for the holidays or we're being hosted by the kids.

Yes.

I was going to respond with a list of the history we've seen in the last 70 years, good and bad, but by the time I got to Vietnam, 'The Days Of Rage' in Chicago, and the Kennedy/King killings in 1968, I needed a break.
