Need info on chinese atv

So i got a Chinese brand quad four my daughter. It has no motor but the guy said it was a 110cc originally but it has no numbers or tags or anything so i don't know much about it which makes it hard to get parts. Im hoping Someone can help me id it and also what kind of big brand parts are interchangeable on these things. Any info related to these quads or good places to buy cool aftermarket or even oem parts is greatly appreciated. Ive never had something that wasn't a honda or yamaha or something that had tons of stuff and info easily available.

Most of these Chinese share the same parts and engines. You find most o the parts on ebay, Taobao.com and here.http://www.motopartsmax.com/index.ph.../vehicle/tID/1

I can’t see the engine mounts ,so assuming it really is a 110 cc ,you can use any Honda horizontal clone engine ,like from a pitbike etc.,but a kickstarter usually doesn’t work as there is no place for the lever to travel .I hate to say it ,but if you paid anything for what you have ,even $5.00 ,you paid too much .I buy and sell bikes ,and I have owned dozens of those atv’s ,in better shape but with one or two problems ,for $35-100.00 ,and those are complete bikes .I suggest you look for another atv that is generally the same ,for $100.00 or less ,and use what you have for parts .I Understand that was probably not what you wanted to hear ,but it is a very honest assessment from what I see presented .

Are you planning on mounting that chain saw motor on there?

Good idea. This should be an interesting project. Only issue I can see is the engine will be rotating in the wrong direction unless you do some sort of jack shaft to keep it facing the same direction as in the picture. if you spend the saw were the blade is facing the rear it will be rotating the wrong way.

BTW I looked at the pictures in your album. Like the new colors.

Retract that last statement. lol I forgot this is 2 stroke so all you need to do is flip the engine upside down.

I have seen a lot of videos on youtube using Harbor Freight Predator engines in ATV's. You might want to consider that.

Does a chainsaw engine driveshaft have enough RPMs to move a small atv?

Definitely has enough rpms but the question is can the chainsaw clutch handle the load I don't see it pulling any hills.

If the chainsaw doesn't work out for just over $70 you could put one of these on it. http://www.motopartsmax.com/index.ph...28602/cPath/88

Back in the early 80's one of my cousins had put two huge homelite chain saw engine on a go kart. One for each wheel. It would scoot pretty good.

motor

yes this is a kids atv... lots of makes.. TAO TAO .. NOT A GIO MODEL because it is a 1 piece body.. you can put in a 50 cc to a 125 cc.. try a used motor for the price... or the 2 stroke... not good because of that ... but cheap... at least the 50 cc - 110 will be electric start... I buy these for the parts or to put in a used motor then sell them... this is a good cheap atv... BUT you can pick up other used ones cheaper than putting in all the parts... motor.. battery.....then time to fix it up... but it is your time...
