it's the support for the bottom part of your fairings on the gas tank i couldn't figure it out at first either man.

I had to scroll down because all I saw was a bicycle. That looks like the cross brace that goes between the tank shrouds.

middle of it is bolted to the downtube in front of the engine and each side is bolted to the tank wings.
