VM26 Clone: 4 screws on bowl/Pilot jets?

Hi all,

needle tip on my air/fuel mix broke on the PZ27. Ordered a VM26 (4 screws on the bowl). Is this the 'right' one? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Which pilot jets should I order to fit it? I know there is a difference... some use Mikuni (as it is labeled), others use Keihin.

Thanks!
tdk

The VM26 is equal to the PZ30 which is a larger carb than the PZ27

I would wait to order pilot jets until you have the carb in hand and can confirm for yourself what style it has. The problem with all of these clone carbs is that they are made with whatever seems to be handy at the time. I had a PZ30B that said Mikuni on it and used Keihin jets. I have seen a "PZ30" with 4 bowl screws that used a unique "cold start" jet you can't ever find and a Mikuni main jet. etc.

All of that being said now, generally speaking if it is a "Mikuni" VM26 "30mm" that does use actual Mikuni jets, the pilot jet will be one of two possibilities.
1. VM28/486
2. N224.103

These two jets are identical in every single way except one, the diameter of the tip. One is 2mm (VM28/486), the other is 2.5mm. Now, the VM28/486 can work in place of an N224.103, but the N224.103 cannot work in place of the VM28/486.

This is all assuming it even uses Mikuni jets and the factory didn't just decided to machine the body for whatever they could get at the time.
