Shinaray vs zongshen engines
Shinaray vs zongshen question
So im looking at buying whole new engine, I have 2 options Standard Zongshen 230cc 169 ohc $650 engine only Or identcal shinaray complete engine carb & wiring harness for under $500 both brand new.?? Question is there quality difference between these 2 identical engines? Struggling to see why shiniray is priced so much cheaper Cheers |

Where are you buying from (website)? Other than someone pulling a scam, I don't think there is much difference between the larger Chinese brands' engines: Zongshen, Lifan, Shineray, and Loncin are 4 of the larger manufacturers. There engines are fairly similar in quality. Perhaps the lower priced ones are new, old stock that have been in a warehouse for years? Or the Zongshen's seller is just trying to see how much one is willing to pay? Or, the Zongshen is meant as a direct factory replacement engine for a certain brand? Link to the ads and perhaps there is a technical difference that someone with more knowledge of engines can pick up on?
