Question How do I mount the sensor?

i'm not even sure if this is correct place to mount it (no instructions). i was just going to use plastic wire ties to secure it. i did roll the front tire and got a response on the speedo readout so it it working . i don't know if it will be anywhere near accurate , but in the meantime i hope someone has experience with these reed style sensor placements.

also, the fuel gauge is flashing all the time. i don't have a fuel gauge on my bike. i tried to ground the fuel sensor wire to stop it from flashing (still flashed). would it quit flashing if i attached a 12v wire to this wire ? would it make it think it's full and quit flashing, or would it short out the whole speedo?

got everything functioning including gear selector and tacho (attached to the blue white stripe wire just like the hawk).

Coming Soon: i got the tank fitted and just need to install new fuel line/filter. I will make a thread for the bashan blaze 2.0

That gauge looks exactly the SAME as stock CFMOTO CF125-2 (6-speed Baboon) Copycats took the market by 1/3 marked $ of CFmoto's...
http://www.chinariders.net/showthrea...anslate&page=6 had the idea of how the P&P model stick to hub... btw Direct fit 15mm sensor unit for good old GY bike is sold in TB...
mm

Why not stick a resistor fools it as ALWAYS full or whatever if can't turn OFF that function... From chinese description https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=38858947563 it seems can set as 100Ω / 500Ω . 1??Ω is for (c)Honda...

You may have to get a little creative and make a bracket. You may be able to mount it off the brake caliber mount bolts. Just some ideas.

Yes yes yes, Jerry. I was visualizing this last nite. A little bend up on the vice and a couple holes. Thanks for the pics. It will work!

Nice job. word of advice, be careful doing the setup. Do not make any changes for how many cylinders. The default is for 1. If you change it to 2 or 4 you will not be able to set it back to 1.

it kinda sticks out like a sore thumb but who cares, not looking to impress with this china dirt bike. if i wanted to look good i should have gotten a hawk

thanks, i read that somewhere, maybe here . i not sure about getting the fuel display(no fuel sending unit) to quit flashing. human b. says put on a resistor. not sure about going about that but not a big deal . i just want to get it rolling again.

also, after refitting the fairing i discovered it will be a little difficult but doable to hit the reset button behind the console. this is where a console with forward facing controls would be much more attractive (and of course a little more expensive). i don't want to get carried away with high price doodads since this is just my starter bike. will save that for the rx4 or kawVersis300. this is something also to take into account for an rx4 bike. parts and other accessories will be cheaper say than a jap xxxx bike.

fixing to get out there again this afternoon for another tinker session on that demanding china bike.

Nobody will notice that set up. They will be looking at your SUPER forks. I'm thinking about getting decals made that read SUPPER.

Yep, that let's you know I'm extra special and have super forks

Save your money for more inter tubes. Front flat from leak around stem. Virtually new tube. Bad luck flows on.

Not sure how many of us 'old-timers' (old-timer specifically for Chinariders) are on here, but since this site came predominantly out of the Lifan GY-5 Yahoo! group (to a lesser extent, my Jetmotogroup, too, had something to do with it; Jetmoto was a brand of bikes, not the video game--Frostbite had a Lifan GY-5, however...) the big joke was the very dorky sticker that used to come adorned the Lifan GY-5--right on the side of the bike was a sticker with the words 'Cool Boy' which did not last very long on most every member's bike

I do think making 'SUPPER' decals will be right in the spirit of things

I almost forgot the handlebar pad on the GY-5--it stated 'Auspicious'

My guess is when the GY-5 becomes a collector's item, someone will make some money reproducing 'Cool Boy' decals and 'Auspicious' handlebar pads!

kinda along the same lines as my "Golden Boy" tires

this golden boy got the speedometer to about .5 mph accuracy today which is close enough for who its for. Happy camper.

Taking out the bike for a nite class for about 50 miles round trip tonight to learn about pipeline safety . this is a annual meeting, no big deal especially since they are feeding us too
