Zongshen RZ3

Was catching up on the Joe Berk ride thru China on the CSC Blog

http://californiascooterco.com/blog/?p=22594

and noticed this little tid bit at the bottom of today's post.

"You might be wondering (and perhaps guessing) why I found that bike so interesting. Yep, you guessed right…we’re bringing the RZ3 (Zonghen’s naked bike with the RX3 engine) to America, and you’re hearing it here first!"

Pretty sharp looking bike. Reminds me of and will be competing with the KTM 390 Duke.

I'm sure more to come on price point, color (orange I'm sure will be the fastest), specs and time frame of the "Don't Miss The Boat!"

Yes! I knew someone else would have seen it! That's a good looking bike, and I wouldn't mind seeing how it specs out. I just read the other day that the RC390 makes 44 hp, so that'd be some stiff competition. Even so, it looks like it'd be a lot of fun to ride! I like the naked bike look a lot more than a faired look like on the RC3.

Perhaps by the time it rolls out I'll be enough ahead of my finances to invest in one!

Well, if I remember right, Joe said it would be a few years for that project to come through IF they choose to import it. He said it just wasn't up to spec yet.

Pretty cool! I'm not a fan of "naked sport" bikes, but I'm glad to see CSC bringing more Zongs into the states.
