Nice slow-riding control on the second video, glad you finally stopped slipping your clutch and got through all the gears though and went for a run to the lake! Helmet cam next Andrew? That bike is still not dirty enough but somehow I think you will always keep your machines clean and sparkling when you can! I bet you sprayed it with teflon to keep the dirt off?

The weather looks good, crisp and sparkling, enjoy!

I enjoyed each one of those vids. Love your matching jacket. 8)

At the 00:33 mark in this vid, it looks like you have two reindeer buried up to the neck in the yard. Did you bag them during Santa's run?

Thanks for posting the nice photos, and great videos, Andrew! I am glad you finally got a nice day to ride your XF200. You bike looks great; I especially like your black headlight. If I may ask, who photographed the videos?

I must warn you, WaG scrupulously examines all photographs, and videos posted on these forums! Nothing escapes his attention, no matter how small the detail!

My Stepson was so kind to snap a few Pics and Video while he stopped in to visit and us his new car. I could have some fun with pictures and videos, if they get looked at in that much detail. Like where's WALDO? That could be fun! LOL!!!! It is very cold this morning, so It will be a bit before I'm brave enough to go fire up the "q" again today, but we'll see, the sun is trying to peel out......

Andrew,
You finally got your ride in. Looks good.

I see you put the stock muffler and mirrors back on the Q.

When I was having so many problems with the carb, I took everything back to stock. I will put the Pro Cicuit on after I get some miles on her. Only mod I have now is the needle clip in the 4th position and the 16th sprocket. The mirrors were put back on cause, going down the road kept vibrating and moving around on me even though they seemed tight. I will play with all that stuff down the road. I am HAPPY Just to have her running, and running good i might add. I only got about 28 miles on her, but when I hit 50 Then I'll change the oil and filter. Bike is GOOD! Thanks.

Andrew

No reason to change the oil before the recommended 5-600 miles on a Q. Unlike a Hondoid/Lifanoid Q uses real oil at the factory.

Thanks Doc - I'll keep that in Mind. So many have said they changed the oil and filter after like 50 miles, I thought that would be good. But no hurry I guess. Also thamks for answering all the questions that you have with the "q" I have really been educated on this new bike. In Fact I bet I can put this carb togather with my eyes closed! lol

No harm in changing the oil earlier, just not necessary.

I know I'd feel more comfortable with oil that I poured in. It'll also give you a chance to check for schrapnel, although I wouldn't expect any with a bike of your caliber.

Awesome pics and vids Andrew! Thanks! So glad you got her going!
On your odometer... I noticed on mine I was clicking up the miles pretty quickly for how short I rode it.....then I realized, as the manual later confirmed, it's kilometers.
Out of habit, I changed my oil (not filter) after the first day. I figure if the bike is an 09, built in 08, it's been in there collecting moisture for a while. The oil that came out looked ok but the mechanical noise difference, with the new stuff, was far quieter. The timing chain and valve noise all but vanished.
