Airplane Ride report...

Rimrock Lake, close to White Pass in The Cascade Mountains of Central Washington. About a 35 minute flight from my house. I feel lucky to live here (most of the time... )

Still plenty of snow on the mountains, the snow level is about 5,000 feet. Some of this will be here year round.

Mt. Rainier. Some of you will recognise this form some trail rides we've done near the mountain. The second highest peak in the lower 48, and only a few feet lower than California's Mt. Whitney which is the highest. IMHO Rainier is more 'majestic' because of its amazing rise above the surrounding terrain. Whitney is hardly noticable (as being the tallest) as it is one jagged peak amongst many of similar height.

Close to Mt. St. Helens. Our mountains blow.

Approach to land at the lake.

The landing strip.
