2007 gio 110cc quad..no spark!! help
Hey everybody. Thanks for the add. I have a 2007 110cc gio atv four stroke that for the life of me I can't get spark. I've disconnected the kill switch wire. Nothing. I've put a new cdi, New coil and I've gone thru the entire harness and redone every connection. Eliminated every redundant plug and still have nothing. I'm leaning toward the stator or the rectifier. Anybody know of tests that would help me figure this out? It would be greatly appreciated. . Thanks!

Rectifier isn't the main concern. AC CDI: Don't had ANY relation at all | DC CDI : external DC 12V source is good enough for test. --- Trigger OR Source coil (AC CDI) DEAD... if rotor is in working order.

Does it have a kill switch at the left control that resembles a signal light switch?

This may seem stupid and i mean no disrespect but i just got an atv as well. When i got it the spark went away on it. Come to find out apparently it had a safety for when the oil level is to low and stopped it from starting. It would roll over but no spark. Added oil to it and it fired right up. May not be the issue but thought i would share this anyway.

As far as I know it doesn't have a oil level safety. I have the manual and the wiring diagram and it doesn't show that. Wouldn't disconnecting the kill switch wire at the cdi eliminate the chance of my kill switches being bad? Does anyone know a specific test for these stators? I'm questioning whether or not is getting the trigger or anything for that matter.

It has the kill switch on the handle bar that is a red rocker type switch. At first I suspected that i had a bad kill switch which is why i pulled the kill wire on the cdi. I am suspecting the stator and the trigger for the spark. That's all that's left i believe???? I took the side cover off and inspected it thoroughly but it all looks fine. I'm stumped! !
