Thats right. Best Hobby on ebay. They emailed me once and told me to fax the MSO and everything, and I did but I never heard from them again and everytime I called I got a message machine. I might try it in Alabama. Im not sure what this bonded title is? Anyone have any experience getting a bonded title?

Bonded titles are a guarantee to the state that you own the bike and have a title to it. Their rational for giving you the runaround and requiring a bonded title is that you are alleviating the remote circumstance that someone will show up and claim they own your bike. You know that no one else can claim it, but the state is a different story alltogether.

There are specific places that offer bonded titles; at least here in AZ, most are also insurance agency offices. They sell the bond at a set percentage of the value of the bike or sale price of the bike, usually ten percent, or something like that. Had I needed to go that route in AZ, I would have had to pay something like $125-150.

GA DMV title bond process
http://motor.etax.dor.ga.gov/motor/titles/titlebond.asp

I think the cost of $100-150 is about right.

Good news. My dealer got the bike titled in his name and I will pick it up and transfer it to me tomorrow.

Hopefully in about 2-3 weeks I will have the title in my name.
