Yup you can put the off road sticker on yourself, put it on the gas tank, make it look official.they will check for it at the border!Mine was a Huansong Viva vx200s or gy2 from California...it was crated but if you can get one assembled that would be better......my broker handled the border shi7.I cant find Lifan on the pre-clearance list but as far as I know Coast To Coast imports them into CANADA so they must be there under a similar name, as long as the manufacturers name is on the list and the off-road sticker is there with title and bill of sale it can come passed the border!

Did you save much by going that route? Or was it simply because you wanted a bike that isn't available here?

No this is my first bike......I was looking at a KLR from Kawasaki 8O , I saw a Viva extreme for sale on ebay and took it for $1100...but the seller was unfamiliar with exportation and so was I with importation.so we did a refund, it looked like a nice bike......so
I went to viva motors and found a brand new Viva for about $1000.so I took it.....honestly knowing what I know now I might have done some National shopping.....Im not to sure what us Canadians are paying for their China bikes...I do know dealers are few though....maybe next time!

Search Daymak.com in Ontario. It's where I got my bike.

It is Winnipegmike that bought the XTM, I am looking into buying one.

I wouldn't import a china bike into Canada, as it seems we have just as good of bikes ,or better, than the States.

The "honda style" 250 seem pretty good and cheap ($900) shipped, but the xtm is about $500 more but twice the bike aparently.

Check out Coast to coast, Allstarsalez,Prindustriesltd...Sold out of B.C.
