Heated Grips - Page 4

Well I finally got the heated grip set mounted on the outside of the grips as per their picture instructions. They do get HOT with only an on/off switch. Don't necessarily like how the shrink tubing external grip surface feels but I can live with it for now. May be a little slippery when wet. We're getting rain and snow so can't go out to try them yet.
And No I ain't going to "Man Up" and go out in this weather.

Had another thought on these really inexpensive grip heaters. Has anyone put some under the seat cover to make a heated seat????? Heated tush would really be nice ,but as hot as these get they may be another form of birth control so you'd get a twofer

Um,....I'm pretty sure the heater element is supposed to go under the grip. The shrink tubing is to hold it firm while the grip is put over.
Someone please correct me if I Am wrong

This was the pic I followed for installing them. I think your right Danimal that they should normally go under the grip but I thought I'd try it their way. And just when you thought you've seen everything, :0 rj

The pictures are because they didn't want to ruin a pair of grips.
They really are supposed to go under the grips.
What I did with same type years back:
Spray bars ends with 3m adhesive. Let tack up well.
Wrap element around bar and throttle tube (adhesive will hold in place. No need for electrical tape)
Cover with shrink wrap.
Install grips OVER the element.
Done
