United Motors matrix II 170cc. Does anyone here have experience with them?

A UM matrix II 170cc with a "broken" engine turned up on my local Craigslist. This seems like a pretty high end unit by Chinese Gy6 scooter standards, with dual disk brakes, factory oil cooler and what looks like projector headlights.

My main concern is the engine. If it's really busted to the point of no return, will I be able to find another big bore Gy6 with the right specs to work with this? Are there any other unique parts to these that that I should be aware of?

I like the idea of a 170, because a 200 big bore should only be a hop, skip and a jump away, since it already has the big case engine. The rear disk sounds like a nice upgrade too.

I forgot about these guys--NOT a 170cc, but cheap and you can play around with it or keep it stock.

We'll, the guy wants about twice what I'm willing to pay for any broken scooter. It does have a clean title, which is of some value, but not enough to make me bite on a scoot that may need an engine.

I've got other irons in the fire to work on, I'll check back in a couple months and see if he's more flexible.
