China Bike Bashing

I figured you China bike guys would not appreciate Yammie's view on Venom Motorsports and Chinese bikes. show your support for Chinariders. I think he got hurt feelings. Just Saying. lol I never really cared for his videos and bashing. I'm sure there is more to the story than he is telling.

I used to semi-like his vids.
If what he says is true about Venom demanding certain content and nothing negative, that's seriously blowing it on their part, and got the reviewer on a bad foot, before the bike even showed up.
That said, it's obvious by his overall attitude he was going to be shellacking the bike and even making huge deals out of even the smallest things.
He's once again missing the entire China Bike appeal. A reliable ride for less than half the price.
One of the things that crossed my mind while watching the vid is that out of all the CB's I've had, I've not experienced anything like what he's complaining about, though I do thorough PDI's upon assembly, like checking the chain tension and rear wheel alignment.
Maybe that's the problem? These reviewers are used to bikes that are thoroughly prepped and fine-tooth combed by the factory/dealer?

So what you saying is he's not a mechanic and shouldn't own a china bike. lol

I'm still waiting for my 2016 Hawk to just fall apart. lol My best bike so far is the KPX250. I didn't had to mod anything. Just change oil and put gas in it. The bike has performed every bit as good as my Vulcans S. Hell even on my Vulcan S I had to tighten up bolts the the dealer had missed.

Yes, and if you read through the comments we weren't the only ones that expressed our opinion. lol

That's an issue with chinese motorcycles sold in the US, they are given to the end user in a crate. That crate is meant to be given to a dealership, where they put the motorcycle together.
Give him a crated BMW, he will face the same issues, chains to tight, brakes that drag, parts that are torqued.. That's because the product is not ready to be given to the end user.

We are living in a time where companies must put labels like "WARNING MAY CONTAIN COW'S MILK" to a milk jug. So expecting the average user being able to do the final setup of ANY motorcycle is just silly.

Then it comes the "reliability" part, he has no idea, yet he talks, there are folks out there that have rode more kms or miles in their chinese motorcycles than yammie did in his whole life.

Exactly. These bikes are not meant for someone who is not mechanically incline. They do make good beginner bikes for someone who has mechanical skills. And not the best bike for someone who may have ridden over 30 years and have no clue how to work on the bike. These bikes are made for intelligent people like us who are willing to put the time in to prep the bike and are getting the bike to learn how to work on them.

IMO the 250cc platform in these bikes is well suited to dual sport and dirtbike applications where they shine and are a ton of fun.. generally you cant use anywhere near the max output most of the ADV's or Big-4 dirtbikes have on gravel and hard pack, especially in tight technical terrain where too much throttle and you're going off that cliff or into a tree.. with that being said, other than for looks, i think its kinda silly to market a "superbike" style bike when its like 15-20hp and cant go much over 70mph but for the younger riders i know sportbikes is where its at, and probably most of us started out on one as i did 30 years ago with a ZX11.. so for them its a great way to learn not only how to ride but how to work on and maintain a bike and i think whatever gets you to tiptoe into this world is worth it regardless of what the nay sayers might say.. as always, do what makes you happy not what the other guy thinks you should do (why i've never owned a Harley)

That's all its' about.
I'm on the opposite end. I can care less about it. I created my channel about 7 years ago because it was the only way i could post videos on here to show mods and so on for my Hawk. I never expected anyone to really watch them or even subscribe. I looked today and received my 1500th subscriber. lol As you guys can see there ain't no way i could do this for a living with the bad videos I put up.
Thanks for all the support and subscribers.

Like 2LZ said, They miss the entire point of a Chinese bike. When I rode my KPX to work, another Dual Sport owner couldn't believe how nice it was, especially for the price. Because last year he paid 4,000 for a (I think) 5 year old TW200. And if you get down to brass tacks, you would be surprised whats made in China / Taiwan. Alot of these people complaining about the China bikes don't know a Phillips from a flat head. SO, let them keep nay saying, keeps the price lower for those of us who like them.

Most mfg have deals with Chinese companies.

Honda has deals with Lifan, some of their cheapest motorcycles are made by Lifan.

Yamaha has deals with jianshe, just like Honda, some of their cheapest models are made by them. Even a good bunch of the parts being used in the XT250 sold in the US are chinese.

Kawasaki also has with Loncin (BMW also has deals with Loncin).. The KLX 230 screams chinese made.

Suzuki also has deals with Jiangmen dachangjiang
