Woo hoo! Thank you! I finished the wiring and drove around the block in the rain, then adjusted the carburetor since I’d replaced the main and idle jets. The giant cracked headlight is interfering with the the choke cable, so when I turned sharp it went rich... so, the smaller headlight should be really nice. I’ll paypal you something for your trouble; just let me know.

Bike is running very well, but I hate the aftermarket loud exhaust so will do a bit of wheeling dealing on Clist and see if I can trade with some kid for this T4 Pro Circuit and get a nice quiet original...

Would you consider swapping for a headlight plus some cash?

Should we go to private messages so this thread isn’t a mess?

Does this suit you? The headlight is 6" in diameter.

It is 6" to the chrome trim ring and about 6-7/8" to the inside of the bolt mounts.

Oh ok, so that will be too wide I’m afraid. I ‘think ‘ I’ve got something that will work; but have 2 scooters I’m repairing for a guy, so haven’t gone back to the ttr lately... thanks for looking tho!

I think I have the loud muffler sorted. Going to stuff it with stainless steel wool behind (or in front?) of the spark arrestor.

( There is a plate welded (super uglified) to the front down tube. It has CARB certification and says the bike comes out of a Chongqing Shineray factory? Imported by Goldenvale?)

I know you posted this a long time ago but you may find this interesting. On my bill of lading it has that wholesaler on it.

Golden Vale
2041 S Turner ave
Ontario, CA 91761

And the bike is being sent through Roketa of Dallas.

http://www.roketa.com/information/6.shtml

If you click on - Product
and the click on - Dirt bike
you may still find your bike and they also offer the manuel and electrical diagram.

Good luck.

Thanks for the link. I checked, but my Roketa is no longer referenced on their site; it's a DB-07A. It's kinda rare for it's age (2006), because it has inverted forks, front and rear disc brakes and an OHC engine.

I’m thinking the Yamaha ttr125 is going to be sold. My wife’s dad passed away in February, and we made several trips to Seattle and also, SE Alaska. Because of us traveling our bills are stacked up... I’m considering now how to reduce the debt.

If I do sell it, I’ll then convert the Tc90 to my sisters play bike, and go from there...

Spring break has seen me repair 2 scooters for a guy, and that will take care of some of the debt. Just trying to be a good steward of our money situation... life. It gets in the way of motorcycle ownership! ☺️

My wife said I had to keep the ttr because she felt safe sitting on it. Not going to argue with her when she says keep motorcycles! Also, I figured out what was wrong with the carb. Prior owner installed brand new Chinese knock off carb (and had thrown away the Mikuni - heresy!) Never could get it to run right. Had a horrible boggy top end - never would wind up. Neither could I - until today.

I completely dissassembled carb; I took the little vacuum activated thing off the side, and, no spring inside! I then grabbed a somewhat close spring I had laying around, put it in and the thing runs 99% better! I ordered the correct spring tonight; and I bet it’s fixed... missing spring from factory is my guess. Already had the new pilot and main jets installed. Starts great. Very happy about discovering this.
