Changing GY6 Scooter Clutch Springs


This technique worked very well. Ice pick is one option. Heat tip on a stove element to bend angle if desired.







Source . . clutch springs . . contra spring



Re-grease torque driver while clutch is disassembled. Walmart Super Tech grease works fine.

Placing a loop of 5/32" Teflon valve packing (hardware store plumbing department) in the spring base may ease the twisting movements.



De-glaze pads and inner bell surface with some type of abrasive.



Bad clutch bearing and related videos (Honda Elite 110 scooter).
