No. We rode hard for 5-6 hours on the maiden voyage and used (huge SWAG) only about a gallon of the 2 gallon tank. 2nd gear 90% of the time.

I will do a proper mpg test here soon.

No in-tank pump. But, this new tank makes fitting a KTM style pump possible.

Currently the pump sits above the chain guard/behind the cylinder and bolts to the fuel pressure regulator that you can see in picture 2 of post #82 above. It is the square aluminum piece; it appears to be a diaphragm type.

Not much of the time was at low rpms. Deep sand in a large percentage of it. Harder to stop on those sections, so the pictures skew to the easier to stop on rock shots.

As opposed to wot for 2 hrs highway, it is low rpm. That what I mean by burning fuel quicker

Big thanks to Spud for all the information he has taken the time to publish.
You're welcome. Thanks for the kind words.

You bought a very nice motorcycle.

Hey CHonda,
Did this bike come with MSO paperwork and does it have a 17 digit VIN?
How is it performing so far?

Yes, it came with the MSO. I didn't think to take a picture of it before I titled it and handed it over to the DMV. It looked the same as the MSOs you get when you buy a trailer.

The VIN is 17 digits and the state and Allstate insurance were both happy with it.

I'm very happy with how this bike runs, feels and rides so far. I now have the Acerbis 4.1 gallon tank mounted and plumbed. Had to add a bulkhead fitting for the EFI fuel return line. Also working on putting an FMF Q4 that I picked up off Craigslist cheap so that I can be quieter and USFS approved. Both are very important to me. The stock muffler is shorter and straight through and too loud in my opinion.

I also need to change the rear spring rate to match my weight.

Awesome

Beautiful bike!! I have been checking these out a lot lately on top of a few other bikes. Anyone know the mileage for the valve adjustment? Are you thinking it's similar to the RX3? Anyway I could throw passenger pegs on this? Just thinking about the gf. Looks like a great price for a very good quality bike. The valves look like they are going to be pretty tough to get to huh? Any other advice would be great so I know if I should purchase it 😀

It's just the same... Has a wheel at each end with a motor between them...

I'm just going to follow a maintenance schedule similar to the RX3 for the first few thousand, then go to checking the valves at least once a year. (Being primarily a dirt bike I doubt I will put anywhere near the miles on that the typical RX3 guy will) Once the fuel tank and seat are off the valves are'nt too bad; removing the horn is about all that is extra to do. Much easier than most bikes I have owned.

Not sure how passenger pegs could be thrown on. The rear subframe is made of steel, so it might be possible to weld or bolt some kind of footpeg extensions on, but I would just make her get her own bike. Might be worth starting a seperate thread on adding the passenger footpegs.
