Hello from Suffolk UK

Good evening.
I have just bought my first Chinese bike.
I have just purchased a Honley RX3 (Zongshen) 250.
I hope that will be able to contribute in the future .
I also hope to be able to pick up some useful information regarding my new bike and some of your wisdom about owning a Chinese bike.

For example information about spares in the UK will be important to me.

I do have a bit of experience of owning a bike that is not mainstream as I already own a Hyosung GT250r and have toured all over the UK on it.
I bought the Honley for a better riding position and maybe a bit less speed and a bit more of seeing what I am passing.
The panniers and top-box that came with it was certainly helped me decide this bike was worth a punt.

I will once I can sort out a secure picture hosting site.
I used to use Photobucket, but it seems to have gone a bit squiffy at the moment?
I`m in England and if anyone has a suggestion for an image hosting site that is easy to use and secure, I`m listening.

I`ve just got back from a small trip (2days and a morning) on the Hyosung GT250r, all in all about 600 miles.
All around Lincolnshire and the Humber Bridge.

I have also taxed the new Honley RX3 and I now have the insurance also.
So that is now road legal and ready to roll.
I have a little excursion planned for it next week.

You can do it thru Google Drive. Just have to use an Alias name in your account if you wish.

Hi Pepperami

I'm in the UK, not posted on here for a while, and I have, along with some other bikes, an RX-3 as well. I enjoy riding it, it's also quick enough for my 20 mile commute along the M6. I got it mainly to use in crappy weather, which it has worked faultlessly in, well, I say faultlessly, after riding in 1 particularly heavy downpour, I now have the engine management light on, if I can't reset it, I might ride up to Huddersfield one day, and pop into Honley, the bike is riding perfectly fine though.

One thing to look for, the headlight isn't particularly bright, I tried with an LED replacement, but, I didn't like the results. I've got a pair of spotlights that I intend to fit before the dark nights really close in.

Oh yeah, I'm in Wolverhampton, so a litle up the road from you :-)

PS, I also have the following chinese bikes, CF650TR & Shineray XY-400 (Mash 400), plus my trusty Royal Enfield Bullet :-)

I meant to ask this when this thread was new; do you guys in the UK have two companies selling the RX3 under different brands, or am I thinking of another Chinese-made bike being sold at the same time under 2 different UK brands a few years back?
