100 mile ride...feasible?
I'm doing an approximate 100 mile ride this Saturday morning on the XPRO 250 Roadster. Is this able to be done in one ride with no stops? Or, will I have to make multiple stops to let the bike cool down, and oil checks? I've changed the shipping oil out to Lucas 4T 10-W40 twice. I currently have 185 miles on her. I haven't had her up above 45 mph. The trip is mainly 55mph on mostly flat roads. I always carry a quart of oil and a funnel in my backpack, for the just in case moments.

have a little more faith in your bike. There is absolutely no problem. You could ride 500 miles on Saturday morning and be OK.
your bike isn’t going to overheat because you are riding at a long distance. Your ass will just get sore. Lol. that’s about the only problem you will have. I mean, it’s also possible your back will get sore. That’s a sport bike. So the position can be a little tiring on 100 mile trip. But really that’s not much. The bike is definitely up to it

I would recommend doing one more oil change before Saturday--not because of the ride, but with these Chinese thumpers, it is always good to change out the shipping oil after purchase, and then after 100 miles. Then, your 3rd change should start be at the intervals that Baodiao/Boom recommends for your engine (500/600? miles or 1000? miles?). I wouldn't worry about checking the oil during the ride, otherwise. Since you are still breaking in the engine, you probably don't want to push it to the screaming limit(s)--wait until after the break-in period is over. Otherwise, I couldn't imagine a 100 mile trip (I am guessing over 3 to 4 hours including stop(s) for food or scenery) being more than an easy exercise for the bike. Let us know how everything worked out with a follow-up post, and if you are in a scenic area, make sure you post pictures--the more the better (and include your bike in the pictures).

These engines are basically fire-up-and-forget propositions. Millions of them have served faithfully and well throughout the world, used by people who've never heard of an oil change or engine overheating. I am not saying you should abuse your bike, but riding it 100 miles or 1000 is what it was made for, not abuse...

i don't think you needed to change the oil again since you have already changed it twice.
How was the ride? Any issues? |

I bought my 2021 Lifan KPR 200 the beginning of May last year. I've got 9,400+ miles on it as of today. My average ride covers anything from 90 to 200 miles depending on how much time I have to play. And those miles are ridden rather spiritedly on twisty roads. Any riding between the twisty stuff is done at 60+ mph. The biggest problem I've had was the engine cutting out because of a corroded battery connection. Easily fixed and never happened again. My only complaint is that I can't find stock size tires.

So do you think he made it? Or did he break down and I was wrong? Ha ha ha

Of course he made it, It a KPX isn't it. lol I wouldn't hesitate to do it on my Hawk. The KPX can handle way better than the Hawk.

He was on a Baodiao/Boom sportbike (the 6-speed/fuel-injected engine). The KPX would have been a definite no-brainer.
