CSC Zong based cafe style bike

Saw this on the CSC blog yesterday. Nice looking bike. No specs, pricing, etc. The second blog post seemed to indicate its going to happen. Looks to be the 230 cc CG based engine from the TT250.

I know the air cooled engine fits in with the vintage styling, but I would prefer the water cooled mill with the extra horses.

its not a bad looking bike, i think the ssr bucaneer is a better bike, v twin, FI,disc brakes front and back, curious to see what the price will be for the csc.

My guess is the price will be close to the TT250's.

Read the Test Ride Report

The Buccaneer and the 250CR are both nice looking bikes. But if you read the test ride report you'll see that the Buccaneer's FI is not very smooth and throttle response is unpredictable. No choke, engine revs very high at start up, before slowly returning to normal idle. Also no counter balancer, or a very ineffective one, as vibrations are awful at 5000 rpms (normal cruising speed) and your right foot goes to sleep. But the biggest "wart" is the very short, 6 months I think, limited warranty, and parts replacement is very limited, plus lack of SSR support and replacement parts. Plus list price is $3195.00. Probably double the 250CR's price. And is it street legal in as many states as the 250CR will probably be?
Other than that, it's great!

Less is Less

That would be too high of a selling price. The TT250 has more modern features than the 250CR, such as disk brakes front and rear, mono-shock rear suspension, upside down fork, more complete dash, and over-all a more modern frame and suspension. The only equal feature of the CR is that it utilizes the up-graded size engine of the TT. So if the selling price is close to the TT's, that would be a over sight of market reality! Less and older technology should retail for less!

All good points. You might be right.

I could be wrong, but on first glance, these look somewhat similar:
http://clevelandcyclewerks.com/ace-cafe/

According to this page
http://clevelandcyclewerks.com/ace-details/
these are priced, "under $3300."

So if the CSC CR comes out at under $2,000 that will be quite a bit cheaper.
