which 30mm Mikuni for the hawk?

I have seen posts with Mikuni carbs VM26, VM30 and VM28..any difference between them?

The number is the size of the opening to the intake 30mm is the vm 30 28mm is vm28 and so on.If it is for the hawk try this carb it is awesome.http://www.ebay.com/itm/262156287861...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT they had it to me in 3 days. It will be set to full on rich on the needle but I quit having to use the choke and can take off seconds after starting. Long enough for the oil to flow.

Sorry .. but thats one nasty nasty looking carb....
look at the great lump in the intake mouth
that just screams turbulance / poor air low...

just compaire it with these... flat slide / smooth bore / power jet and cheap....

Well where is the intake for it and is it gonna fit my original airbox? Since you own a hawk and know much better than I what works for me can you come to my home and work on my bike for me? As I am too stupid according to you to make the right decision.

Makes total sense, I saw a lot of these VM26 or VM28 advertised as 30mm bore, and flat slide, round slide thanks for clarifying that for me
