Being around a while as a China Rider, I don't' see it as an "either/or" situation, regarding this site or CSC.

This site was put together not just as a community of like minded (super cheap) folks, but also because for many years, we had to scavenge around like carpet beetles for sometimes up to months, to find any parts or support, whatsoever. Many times, unless you could be so lucky as to run across a basket case Lifan or something on Craig's List for parts, you were hosed for a while.

Now, with CSC around who actually answers the phone and has a treasure stove of available parts for all Hondoids (TT250's, Hawks, Storms, Enforcers, etc...), along with good folks like mjstef who supply us with a great cluster and support, It's a great time to be a China Rider! :-)

Let's face it though....the TT250 is like a Lexus to a Toyota, when compared to the Hawk (or the like). It's got the LED's, fancy stainless fasteners, 300 watt stator, etc..etc...but that definitely comes at a price. That said, if I wasn't living here in CA and had other legal options, I'd probably have the Toyota in my garage. The Hawk (or it's like bikes) is very hard to beat for 1200.00. You receive a hell of a unit for the $$$.

I have the digital cluster on my TT250 and could not be happier with it. Nice unit, direct bolt on install, clear concise instructions. It is in real miles vs. Kilo-miles that my stock cluster was reading. It also shows accurate MPH, gps verified, compared to the generous MPH readings on the CSC cluster. The tach is handy when setting idle and tuning as well as the gear indicator. Magnetic pickup for the speedo, so no cables to break which the TT was prone to do.

I love my cluster from mjstef. when you are on the bike you always see the cluster. unlike other cosmetic mods this one is always in your line of sight. not to mention now it registered miles and very accurate MPH. I actually order the cluster before I ordered the bike. I also think every engine needs a tach.

I heard on the CSC blog a while back that the 2017 TT will come with 'new' digital gauges. I assume it's the same gauge cluster your selling. Once they arrive I suspect people will want to upgrade their 2016 to have the same gauge the new model has. Unfortunately it also means CSC will stock them like all other parts so people will be able to order them directly from CSC. I'm personally not waiting for CSC, I want one now so I can have it installed and ready for spring. What do you charge to ship it to Canada?

I'll check the Canadian rates tomorrow. Shouldn't be a whole lot more. What's your postal code?
