That lady gave the perfect description of a chinese bike.

"The Bottom Line
Zonghsen 150 was small, light, cheap, economical, and incredibly reliable. It was also slow and a little ridiculous – but did it do the job? Absolutely."

An interesting point I found was that the 150cc bike did not seem to like high altitudes. Back in the mid-2000s, when one could get away with it, there were many people writing stories of going to China, buying a cheap bike, and riding all around. Many reported how great the performance was in the high elevations which seemed to be how they jetted them--for high elevations.

Pete, thanks for the info, quite a story and pictures! The lady in the first thread, mentioned a 28,000 mile journey? on a 1200.00 bike? The second dude traveled from Amsterdam?

Having a family, mortgage, cedar fence that needs to be stained, and "don't get off the farm much" (I and we are not farmers) as I call it....it would be nice to not have the responsibilities and just see the world!

After reading the posts on advrider, Pete, someone made the comment, does it come with an egg roll? Maybe we should ride our china syndrome bikes to have Chinese food. We love Chinese food! Novel idea!

Some of these dudes and dudettes ride on every continent! I am lucky to ride a small corner or SE Idaho! Good for all of them, it is nice to be young! I was just thinking....if I proposed to the mrs, that we should ride every continent, I wonder if she would reply something about me having dementia? And our young one would say something about a "bad dad joke".

A couple of quotes (we are not farmers) "I don't get off the farm much" "Am too old school" I call the china bikes "the china syndrome".
