It's June 25, 26 & 27... Think I'll have the CL350 ready? I don't but it would be fun to take up there... Maybe next year.

And for another movie pick...

Black Dog, with Randy Travis and Patrick Swayze.

And for the Kurt Russell pick, 3000 Miles to Graceland.

I'm about to go watch Part 2 of the greatest movie series of all time, which has spawned countless great video games continuing to immerse people in an alternate universe and stories.

Yes, I'm about to watch Star Wars Episode 2, as I watched Episode 1 the other night with the kids. I don't think there's a better sound in all of movies of that of the light sabre and the tie fighters zooming by.

I'll be watching it on my 20 ft wide movie projector screen, with full 6.1 sound. One of these days I'll post pictures of my setup in the technology thread I started.

..and yes, I'm a geek.

I just watched The Big Lebowski, and I haven't laughed that hard at a movie in some time.

It seems every night lately! Between streaming stuff on the 360 or the PS3 (yes I have both and a problem which my wife reminds me of everytime I turn one on) or watching something from the collection I tend to be hiding in the dark often.

I do have a Blu-Ray copy of Avatar I have yet to try out, perhaps we'll have a Chinariders movie night.

Oh yeah, I have a Wii too but I never touch it, it's the kids toy..about all it's worth after the first month.

Sounds like you have a good setup I use the 360 as a media center as well, but it recently died on me so I don't even have a dvd player right now The ps3 with blu-ray seems like a good way to go now too. Of course I don't have an HD tv so it is kind of a moot point.

I never watched much of the Star Wars movies, I'll admit I was more into Star Trek :P But not too much on it either... The new movie was pretty good though I thought.

Oh another movie I had been looking for, and I finally got was Life, with Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence.

I didn't expect much out of the new Star Trek movie but I was quite impressed with it when I did watch it, I enjoyed it.

I'm on my second Xbox 360 too. The first one I bought as a refurb off eBay and it lasted longer than I thought, but had disc reading errors and then eventually the red ring of death. I still have it here, had planned to try to fix it.

It's just my personal experience, but the PS3 Blu Ray player is outstanding, however the Xbox with the Wireless N Adaptor streams movies much better than the PS3. The PS3 has built in wireless (not an extra cost) but it is only G, which is the only thing I can think of why it tends to 'stutter' when streaming movie files.

Ahh right on, I don't have HD movies to stream, so I think G works out... My xbox is actually wired in, I moved my router next to my xbox so I didn't have to buy the microsoft wireless card. I made my computer wireless... The pc card was cheaper.

Neither of them will stream the video format required for good HD video (.mkv or mp4) ... well, they both say they'll do mp4 but I can't get it to recognize the file for some reason.

I mainly stream DVD quality. Divx seems to work fine on both of them its the Xvid ones that the PS3 struggles with.

My wireless adaptor for the Xbox was a xmas gift I used to wire it in too.

Ahh ok, yes I use my XBox to stream dvd quality videos usually too. I used to use Xbox Connect, but now with Windows 7 I am using it as a media center extender. My xbox was still in warranty (3 year for the rrod) so I am just waiting to get the refurbished exchange unit.

Maybe it's a Vista thing, but as soon as I allow my Windows Media Player to share all media, I just have to move the files into the public folders in my computer directory and both units find the files that way. It was a pretty simple setup.

With all of Vista's detractors, I find it works like it should 99% of the time.
