This is still on the stock tires, what's left of them...

17/45 gears, otherwise stock. I'm about 180 pounds.

I have a camera, but it's never with me on these little rides so these are still with my cell phone:

Note the wildfowers. They are everywhere. Yellow, blue, purple, and white.

More flowers.

A 17/45 sprocket combination is geared pretty high, Doc. You will get a lot more torque if you go smaller on the countershaft sprocket, or bigger on the rear sprocket.

I had a 15/46 sprocket combination on my Zong, and it was definitely geared too high. My motorcycle performs much better with the 13-tooth countershaft sprocket I installed.

Does anyone know of a link to a 15 front sprocket that will fit? That way I can swap back and forth as the need arises. That's what I did with an XR 250L that I rode for years. On road a larger front sprocket, off road a smaller one.

I think the part number you want is JTF259.15 but please confirm the measurements first. Should be available almost anyplace that sells motorcycle parts.

I think you should go with a bigger rear sprocket instead. My chain will badly rub the swingarm with a smaller than stock sprocket. You might have that trouble too.

Hey Fast Doc.
Now ya got me missing E WA., our place was up north Republic Curlew area. It was sure better bike riding than SE Alaska, here the only place to ride is log'n roads.

You sure came from a nice area, AK Dad. Still Alaska is amazing, but I think the weather/darkness in the winter would break me. I hate snow! No affection for rain either.
